| A minor quibble. It is misleading to say all of these names are "still popular," implying that they have been steadily popular for a century. That is basically true for the boy's names, but not many of the girl's--over that period Emma dropped as low as #460, Lillian to #485, Grace to #397, while Ella was not even in the top 1000 during much of the 1980s. So it would be more accurate to say these names have "returned to favor" than that they are "still popular." This quiz was interesting, but a quiz of names which have actually never dropped below the top 100 in a century would be even more so. |
