"Chicago and São Paulo, Brazil, are both newcomers to the top rankings. With 10 billionaires each, the Windy City ties Tokyo, Sao Paulo and Mumbai for ninth place." The source is confusing, but you may or may not need to add tokyo and mumbai.

Maybe specify that it's international.

Definitely need to say it's international. And maybe some sort of extra hint?

Why would they have to say it's international? Isn't it obvious? Without specifying a country, of course it's going to be international!

No. If a quiz is all about one country, it would say so. This one doesn't, so it's clearly not restricted to one country. (We shouldn't have to specify that quizzes refer to places outside of the US...it's not the default quiz topic).

I agree with urban_nomad. I've been an American since the day my momma gave birth do me, yet it never would've occurred to me NOT to guess cities outside the U.S. C'mon folks, this is the 21st Century -- the century of globalization. The U.S. is not the default country; no country is. If a quiz doesn't specify "in the U.S.", don't assume that it means "in the U.S.". *gingerly steps down off soap box*

I agree with urban_nomad too. The US really isn't the centre of the world, so I wouldn't go hammering the stereotype that Americans think the USA=World. TimeAndTide always seems to make good diplomatic comments.

Monte Carlo isn't a city. It's an area in Monaco. Monaco is both the city and the country (exactly the same boundaries). However thought it would sneak it's way on here along with Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

When I did this quiz I read "Countries" instead of "Cities." And after there was no U.S I freaked out and gave up... then I felt really really stupid.

According to the source, you'll have to add Mumbai and Tokyo. It may not have shown them in the main article, but it says they tie for 9th place with Chicago and Sao Paulo.

I'm not sure the source is that great. It says LA has 17 billionaires with a net worth of 2.4 billion - which would mean they had around 141 million each. Maybe just a typo. Still, the source is actually just a review of the Forbes list, so it'd be best to link to the original source here: http://www.forbes.com/2009/03/10/worlds-richest-cities-billionaires-2009-billionaires-cities_slide.html
