I'd mention somewhere that it's about the Europa Cup I as well. Otherwise it isn't strictly speaking correct.

Why did they have it in Bari? - then the year kind of made sense and I looked it up. It's never sold out - only 51,000 of 58,000 for the European cup final - don't think they'll be back there for a while. Great quiz btw.

Heh, this question was on Pointless this week. Funny that one of the four pointless answers (Bern. The other three were Bari, Stuttgart and Gelsenkirchen) was actually quite well guessed here.

@manonthemoon: Stadio San Nicola was built for the 1990 World Cup in Italy so it was one of the newest football stadiums in Europe at that time. It was actually quite a logical choice when Italy got to host the 90-91 European Cup final.

You could accept Berne for Bern, as both are accepted spellings in the English language.
