| It is a good idea for a quiz, but there are some major problems.
Organic compounds cannot be identified by just listing their atoms! In fact, you have two different C(12)H(22)O(11) on this quiz. Things like ethanol can be written C2H5OH to clarify, but there's really no way to get things like glucose onto a quiz like this without causing serious problems. (Fructose, for example, has the same molecular formula but a completely different structure.)
Furthermore, in no way can castor oil be described as C6H6O2. It is a complex mixture of triglycerides and other compounds, and all of the components are considerably heavier than that. I'm not sure what compound you are thinking of, but all three benzenediols share that formula. They're not exactly household words though. |
