	What about Canberra? Yes it is the capital of Australia, but it is also the capital of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) which is formally the 8th state/territory in the country...

	I'm happy that I managed to get them all despite not being Australian myself. Thanks to Oz for making all your state capitals major cities--unlike here in the US, where several of our capitals are obscure towns you'd never be able to guess ;-)

	@Sneuticles: Well, yes, otherwise you'd just have to name the big cities in Australia. All the regional capital quizes are set up this way (U.S. State Capitals, Canadian Provincial/Territorial Capitals, etc.), so this is just consistent.

	This really just became a test of how quickly I could type the cities in Australia I know, I knew the answers, but had very little clue as to which city was in which territory and yet I gott 8/8 so maybe less time needed.

	@jack: albany was and is an historic city. the albany plan of union was one of the many steps in the american revolution. stuff like that is, in a lot of ways, more important than size. look up the history behind some of these cities and you'll know why theyre capitals.

	I would venture to say the difficulty in Albany is that to a non-American, the logical capital for the state of New York would be the same-named city which is the biggest in the nation.

	This was almost too easy. I think there should be a trick question in there or something, just to throw off the scent. For instance, you should have to name the capitals of Christmas Island, Norfolk Island, the Cocos Islands, etc. That would at least make this a bit more challenging.

	6/8, not bad considering I don't know much about the country at all. I had "Barrow" in my head for the Northern one. All those who know their old football clubs will know why I got Barrow and Darwen mixed up!

	@Moviedyamic... it's quite simple. That's where everyone lives here. Pretty much everywhere outside the coastline of Aus is desert, bushland, and grassland for farming. A lot of unliveable areas. So there are only very few larger cities not located on the coastline.

	I managed to get 5. Perth and Brisbane I recognized, Hobart I never heard of before. I've developed this obsession with knowing as much about Australia as possible lately. Well, now I know all the states/territories and their capital cities. Now, if I meet a nice Australian girl, I can wow her with my wordly knowledge by reciting all of these. :)
