A few suggestions:
1. The hint column is unnecessary and confusing, so omit it.
2. The Chicago "Blackhawk" refers to a Native American Chief, not a bird. Make it a bonus a most.
3. Make "Blue Jays" an acceptable answer. Right now it only accepts "Jays"
4. Perhaps include the Houston Astros? That ones up to you. Maybe as a bonus...

I'm not sure that redwings are associated with flight. it's a tire with a wing on it.

yeah I think you should add Atlanta Thrashers, that is a bird. Eliminate Red Wings.

thrashers should be added because their mascot is a bird....on the other hand do not add the penguins because penguins cannot fly....and no i am not taking anything away from the penguins because i live in pittsburgh and am a HUGE pens fan. LETS GO PENS!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple additional considerations: 1. The New Jersey Devils - The name refers to the Jersey Devil which can fly. If you don't believe me go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jersey_Devil. I realize that the costumed mascot is an actual devil but I'm pretty sure Lucifer could fly if he wanted to. 2. The Washington Wizards - If you are a Lord of the Rings person they don't fly. If you're a Harry Potter person they do. I am neither so I leave it up to you just a consideration. But I think we do need to have a meeting of the minds to figure out what wizards can and can't do, much the same as with vampires in the wake of the True Blood/Twilight/Buffy differences. 3. The Houston Astros and Atlanta Thrashers - I agree with the above posts. 4. The Oakland Raiders - The mascot appears to be a pirate of sorts though the name is thought to refer to the Marine Raiders which was a WW II paratrooping unit (granted not flying so much as falling slowly). However Raider also refers to planes used in air raids which definitely fly or Cylon Raiders which are flying sentient spacecraft for any Battlestar Galactica fans.
