	Ummm... Istanbul is in Europe. Sporcle even included it in the European cities quiz.

	@Brett Champion: Istanbul is located both in Asia and Europe. On side of the city is in Europe and the other in Asia :) (With the Bosporus as a natural border)

	@Brett Champion: As Cysion says, there are parts of Istanbul on both continents. Perhaps it's a little unfair that the Asian part counts towards the European quiz and the European part counts towards the Asian one. If you feel bad about that, imagine that you're entering "Ho Chi Minh City" (Asia) and "Lisbon" (Europe) when you enter Istanbul -- those are the 26th-biggest cities in their continents.

	19/25...those obscure Chinese and Indian ones got me too. I'm not sure I've even heard of Ahmedabad, India and I consider myself pretty decent with geography. Good quiz. How about Africa? South America?

	The European part of Russia is on the Europe quiz. Moscow is listed there. There are no cities in the Asian part of Russia with enough people to make this list.

	@Tim Welch: They're on their way! And Oceania, too! Controversy alert: I combined North and South America into a single quiz, since North America on its own would just be the USA plus two in Canada and three in Mexico. As I recall, the combined Americas top 25 has slightly less than half from the USA -- I think that's a reasonable balance. As far as I can see, Oceania only has twenty-three cities with more than 100,000 people so those will be the ones in that quiz.

	is that tim welch as in snoopy from Tennessee? Also, while I liked this quiz, I was no good at it... I don't really get Asian city names/geography. Plus, I played it on an iPod touch. It works fine, but much harder and more distracting to try to type. Looking forward to the other ones.

	this quiz is pretty inaccurate .......i'm pretty sure there r more ppl in guangzhou aka canton, china (which is the 3rd largest city in china) than in tianjin, china, and canton is not even on this thing

	@wariobro: again, this quiz ranks cities according to the population in the urban area and NOT according to city limits. while you are right that mumbai has a population of over 14mio people and the city of tokyo "only" 8mio, the urban area of tokyo is much larger and there live over 30 mio people (making it much larger than the mumbai urban area). @dominique: on all the lists i found tianjin is larger than guangzhou (population within city limits as well as urban area)

	I think this is a great quiz, but the populations from the citymayors website seem a bit off. For example, Tokyo and Yokohama are considered one city whereas most places would consider the two to be separate cities.

	China and India dominate this quiz. Thats what I expected, but did not expect to see Wuhan or Ahmadabad. Riyadh is an isolated city in the middle of a desert

	@zyf: Most of Russia's population, although not area, is in Europe. It's a bi-continental country. I think I did good on this list but need to work on the lesser known (but still huge) cities in India and China.

	@davidr, I did enter "Ho Chi Minh City" (well, I entered Saigon), and didn't enter Istanbul because it's included in the European quiz and not shown on this map; if they want to count the Asian portion only, fair enough, but if they're counting the whole area then #26 should be a bonus answer both here and on the European quiz.

	Only 19/25 - never have even heard of some of those cities in China, India (exc Bangalore-oops), & Pakistan. Really have to brush up on my knowledge of those countries - my bad for being ignorant to that corner of the world!!! Another great quiz, though!

	@Downsouthjukin: Turkey is an intercontinental country, with the mainland in Asia, and a part east of Greece to Europe, and that is where Istanbul is I think. New Delhi and Delhi are 2 COMPLETELY diffrent things, Delhi is the more urban metropolitan area next to New delhi, the small govermental town. I'm not sure, but my thesis is that Delhi broke away from New Delhi or something or was never annexed. I'm pretty sure Davidr knows :D

	19/25; well I also tried Ho Chi Minh City but since Istanbul was counted, Ho Chi didnt. But that's ok; this is great fun.
