| Lots of these names have had comebacks over the years. There were lots of Emmas and Lauras around when I was a kid in the 80s, and Ella and Grace have had comebacks more recently.
Somehow, though, I can't see a big revival any time soon in the use of Gertrude, Bertha or Clarence. Which is a great pity, because those names rock. (Although, maybe all those twits who think President Obama was born in Kenya will start using 'Bertha' as a baby name? Probably not, the pun is too complicated for them.) |
