"Orange" should be accepted for "orange marmalade." "Orange" is the flavor; "marmalade" is the type, not "jam".

Interesting, I didn't know the US used the term 'jam'. I always thought that jelly and jam were the US/UK words for the same thing (in the UK 'jelly' means 1. what you call jell-o and 2. a type of set jam made with juice and sugar).

You are right zifyoid- I will try to change that. Thanks. Jelly in the us is just juice and sugar where jam is with the fruit pieces. Marmalade is a jam by those definitions, but is usually a citrus flavor. Preserves covers the whole category and fruit spread is usually low cal.
