	Don't quite understand the answer for "smart-alecky". If it was "wise guy" maybe, but wise and smart aleck don't really go together.

	@joeflint - I don't mind at all when people take my ideas and run with them--it only means I get to have fun making the quizzes AND taking the quizzes. I think this new style of ladder breathes a new life into the genre, and I await many more takes on the puzzle!

	i don't know if anyone else is having the same problem, but i keep trying to type in what i know are the appropriate answers, but the quiz won't input them :(

	@amn34: You're probably doing it wrong. You're supposed to enter two words for each answer, not just one at a time.

	Had no issue with wise as the answer for smart-alecky. Sometimes "better" clues = "easier" clues. which makes these less puzzling. Great puzzle, thanks for it.

	@apeminkie: Good call on that last definition, I see your point. @rennbj4: I didn't "fail", I actually got the answer correct by working backwards. @willwoodlen: Those words are used in a sarcastic tone. As in to make fun of someone who thinks they actually are wise. So really they're using wise in the manner that I and the others took it to mean.
