jhc1415 : Jul 27th, 2011 at 04:26 GMT 4 points can't believe I thought magic bullet was referring to a tv show.
fantasysieger10 : Jul 27th, 2011 at 04:28 GMT 17 points Ho ho ho? I mean, I get it, but.........
Kazu24 : Jul 27th, 2011 at 04:35 GMT 3 points I think the guy who discovered Ruthenium`s last name is technically Klaus. But good quiz, took me a while to figure out what they were asking because I didn`t get rung 21 til the end.
gstntb26 : Jul 27th, 2011 at 04:44 GMT 34 points Given that they're separate ladders, I think numbering the rungs makes it a bit confusing.
confused : Jul 27th, 2011 at 05:02 GMT 10 points @gstnb26: Not numbering the rungs would make clue #22 really cumbersome. It would have helped if years of Sporcling had taught me to read instructions...
smartster : Jul 27th, 2011 at 05:16 GMT 2 points Yea I know I'm not supposed to complain, but: Yes, I should read instructions, but a word ladder is not supposed to be two word ladders. HoHoHo does not work as it is not a five letter word. Given that 9-11 were all hard clues, why not give us "Santa", especially since the ladder ends there. Does anyone really know who discovered Ruthenium. I have a PhD in biochemistry and I never heard of him.
StatsChick : Jul 27th, 2011 at 05:48 GMT 7 points Yes, it's in the instructions, but it should definitely be more clear that it's two ladders. Also, Wikipedia has both Klaus and Claus, maybe a different clue? I also don't like the ho ho ho answer b/c it's not five letters. Doesn't quite fit.
mrness86 : Jul 27th, 2011 at 06:53 GMT 6 points Extremely creative ladders! I, for one, laughed when I finally figured out the connection!
jshep : Jul 27th, 2011 at 12:34 GMT 1 point Interesting quiz, but the time provided is way too long.
JLKeip : Jul 27th, 2011 at 12:54 GMT 11 points Was I alone in spending about 10-15 seconds trying to twist a letter on Giant to get the 3 word phrase?
jobean82 : Jul 27th, 2011 at 16:52 GMT 5 points @JLKeip: I didn't do that...but I did spend a good while trying to think of a suitably Russian-sounding name that was only one letter different to 'Green' :(
sluh138 : Jul 27th, 2011 at 19:10 GMT 4 points I thought rung 22 was going to be part of the ladder...
cocky : Jul 27th, 2011 at 19:37 GMT 1 point Never heard of Klaus/claus, but figured it out since it had to be Santa's last name.
donpcd : Jul 28th, 2011 at 04:26 GMT 1 point very clever. a little unorthodox for this type of quiz. but any seasoned sporcler would be able to figure it out.
ryry97 : Jul 28th, 2011 at 07:31 GMT -1 points I don't mean to be picky but the primary colours are red, yellow, and blue. Green is a secondary colour.
MattCortese : Jul 28th, 2011 at 17:07 GMT 1 point Different style on the world ladder. Good one, especially since you used the currency of the Flintstones.
confused : Jul 28th, 2011 at 19:55 GMT 5 points @ryry97: Red, yellow, blue are traditionally used in art (and probably what you learned in grade school), but the quiz specified a primary color of light and the typical additive primaries are red, green and blue.
smartster : Jul 30th, 2011 at 09:08 GMT 1 point Primary colors are sets of colors that can be combined to make a useful range of colors. Additive combinations (e.g projected light)are different than subtractive combinations (e.g. pigments such as Crayons)but I think they are both sets of primaries.
magister : Mar 21st, 2012 at 13:39 GMT 1 point Ocean bottom feeder? Maybe Ocean filter feeder, but mantas don't spend that much time on the bottom.
Killamaniax : May 18th, 2012 at 06:30 GMT 1 point Quiz info should be altered to indicate that they're two separate ladders and the final rung is not part of either ladder
