	Is it just me or did close spelling used to count a whole lot more on Sporcle? I tried every possible spelling of Kersee and Joyner-Kersee I could think of (Kersey, Kershy, Joiner-Kersy, etc) and nothing...seems like being that close used to count. Maybe I'm wrong though.

	Haha, I assume the high placement of Virginia Van Wie is due to people typing "Wie" for Michelle Wie? Also: Maybe accept "Zaharias" for 1932, when she was still just known as Babe Didrikson?

	For 1932, you should use the same alternative married name as for several later years. It was the same person. You wouldn't require Cassius Clay and Muhammed Ali to be entered separately, would you?

	I think it's being a little harsh not to count "Zaharias" for Babe Didrikson in 1932. Sure, she wasn't married then, but if "Didrikson" works for every instance of her name, shouldn't it also work the other way around?

	Also, entering the last name of the 1983 athlete gets you that year but not 1986 - again the same person. I suspect a misspelling in the alternates of '86.

	I could've sworn I typed "US women's soccer team" but I guess not. Maybe I forgot "soccer." I hate whenever those come up (1980 US men's hockey team is another one that's been in a couple quizzes) because I can never get the phrasing exactly right.

	william, i think you should petition the site and have them either redact the extra point from everyone's score total or force people to sign an affidavit admitting that, yes, they were guessing michelle wie. while were at it, sporcle needs to permanently ban everyone who accidentally guessed dom dimaggio as having a very long hitting streak.

	The spelling was tough on a lot of them. Not knowing for sure if they were the right answers, it was hard to know whether to keep trying variants or give up. I missed several by giving up too soon.

	@btroup1 : Do you mean why isn't she called Slaney in the quiz? She was still called Mary Decker until 1985. Personally, I think Mary Decker or Mary Decker Slaney should be accepted. I did answer Decker correctly but missed Goolagang as Cawley hadn't worked. Tennis quizzes accept both for her and I think this quiz should.
