	I first, I wondered, "What is this crazy gap between 1924 and 1969?" After doing some basic internet research, apparently for a long time, Notre Dame refused to participate in them because of high academic standards (whatever), and because final polls were taken before the bowl games. After the AP and UPI changed this policy, Notre Dame went to bowl games. Fascinating.

	"Whatever"? Yea, how silly of them to care about academics, and wanting their student-athletes to focus on final exams. What an evil university! Speaking of that gap, if it hadn't been there, they'd have a much better bowl record. None of the Leahy teams ever got to go bowling. Also missed parts of the Rockne and Parseghian eras. But then the whole parade of mediocrity after Holtz got to go bowling, skewing the record.
