And I was shocked when I saw Michael Jackson on the list and the answer wasn't "Thriller" (not that "Beat It" is a bad song, but I figured Thriller would rank above it). But that's the problem with lists like these. There are thousands of great songs, and it's highly subjective. For example, I wouldn't have listed "You Really Got Me", I hate that song, and there are other Beatles songs I would put before Strawberry Fields, like Penny Lane. But of course, someone else could completely disagree with me. Ask 10,000 people what they think the top 100 songs are, and you'll get 10,000 wildly varying lists, even not counting order. |
