Always forget how much SFG 1987-2003 was mashing in his prime. He had 43 homers in 112 games in 1994 before the strike. If they'd played a full season he might have been the first to crack Maris's record.

Interesting way to parse the data; really shakes up the top 30 list. Big impact for some big RH hitters: F Howard, M Williams, aren't even in the top 60 all time; G Foster, D Allen aren't in the top 80. Takes six 500 HR guys off the list, too, although 5 are lefties. I'm most surprised a big RH stud like Jimmy Foxx only hit 96 of his 534 against southpaws.

Hondo hit 40% of his HR off lefties. His OPS+ was 142? wow. by the way, Jim Thome is the only 600 member not on this list with just 118.
