Rgottfried: Death Valley is Clemson too, but is probably more well known as LSU. I think you should add The Farm (Stanford) to this list.

Texas A&M's Kyle Field is actually nicknamed "The Home of the 12th Man." "The 12th Man" refers to the fans who watch A&M games in the stadium.

Nah Clemson was referred to as "Death Valley" a good many years before LSU...and plus from what I understand, Clemson had the name given to them where LSU kind of stumbled upon it themselves and apparently a lot of LSU fans refer to Tiger Stadium as "Deaf Valley", which is also debatable. Plus you have the whole tradition with Howard's Rock (which came long after the name) which is actually from Death Valley, CA, that just solidifies the name.

Clemson definitely had "Death Valley" long before anyone thought of calling LSU that. LSU was originally "Deaf Valley" as stated above (they also put this note in their media guide). The original story was that Presbyterian College used to come to Clemson and get destroyed on a yearly basis. When asked about their upcoming game with Clemson one year, the PC coach said "We're going to play at Death Valley." It kind of stuck from that point on (1940's).

I don't know if the user still cares about this quiz, but if so I have a couple of stadiums to add. The House-Indiana, Strawberry Canyon-Cal, Autzen Zoo-Oregon, The Jungle-Auburn, The Dog House-Northern Illinois, The War-Wyoming, The Loud House-Syracuse.

Great quiz! Got stuck on trying to get touchdown jesus to work for notre dame, but when I saw the answer, I felt like an idiot. Nit-picky, but FSU's stadium could just be Doak Walker Stadium. Lots of schools name the field after famous coaches and the stadium keeps its name. It is actually Tom Osborne Field at Memorial Stadium for Nebraska, but no one cares. And having lived in Durham, much love for the Duke comment.
