| If you require articles, you must say so! It's Freizeit, not Freiziet. 'change' can have several meanings (I tried 'umziehen' which means to change your clothes), you should accept those, too. 'Limo' is not the same as soft drink, but short for Limonade, meaning lemonade. The only correct term I can think of is 'das Erfrischungsgetränk' which is in no way common use. Translations for dumpling are at least as varied as dumplings are - in German cuisine, there's at least 'Kloß' as well. It's 'gespannt sein' not 'sien'. 'to offer' can also be 'anbieten'. 'put' is notorious for its many translations which should at least include 'stellen' and probably 'setzen'. Same goes for 'look' and 'scheinen'. 'Fischfilet' lacks a 'c', and 'beklagen' a 'k'. 'sich beschweren über' is another synonym for 'to complain about'. It's 'die Gemüsesuppe', not 'dei'. 'champignon' is pretty much wrong as this term refers only to the special kind of 'agaricus'. Depending on the use in English it may be acceptable as an alternate answer, but the main answer should definitely be 'der Pilz'. 'Broccoli' can also be spelled 'Brokkoli' and should, in accordance with the other answers, be 'der Broccoli/Brokkoli'. 'ask' might just as well be 'fragen', again depending on context. 'die Mohrrübe' and 'die Möhre' are very common synonyms for 'die Karotte'. Also, 'beginning' (double n) and 'change', 'pea' and 'trout' are not written with capital letters. In short: language quizzes are quite often a lot trickier than one might believe. |
