D'Hoffryn: It's time you got back to what you do best, don't you think? (Anya finally lifts her face to look at him. Her expression is blank.)

Tara: It's a long, important process, and...can we just skip it? Can- can you just be kissing me now? (Willow smiles and jumps up. Tara meets her and they kiss passionately.)
(Oz watches Willow with a smile as she goes off again.) Oz: A werewolf in love.
(Cut to Buffy. She sits on the floor leaning against the wall, watching Angel sleep and contemplating her life.) Buffy: 'And from the depths of the forest, a call still sounded.'
Buffy: Will it help? Willow: Much. (Buffy sits cross-legged in front of Willow and holds her hands. They meditate together.) Buffy: Good.
The words 'The End' flash on the screen, then an image of curtains that draw closed over Buffy and Spike as they continue kissing.
The portal closes, and a naked man is lying there. He is unsteady as he tries to get up, and is too weak to do more than lift his face. It is Angel, looking very dazed.

Dawn: She still thinks I'm Little Miss Nobody, just her dumb little sister. Boy, is she in for a surprise.
Giles: Well that doesn't change anything. What I told you is still true. You need to learn -- Buffy: No, I think you've taught me everything I need to know. (shuts her door)
Willow: Still dug her, huh? Xander: I'm sick, I need help. Willow: Don't I know it.

Willow: (smiles) So, uh...you're not mad? Tara: 'Bout what? (Willow smiles to herself and closes her eyes.)
Xander: Yeah, but you did. You gave up your life. Buffy: I had you to bring me back. (They give each other thin smiles before continuing on.)
Spike glares at The First/Buffy, then watches the seal. A monster sticks its hand out, climbs up, raises its hands toward the sky and looks around the room, growling menacingly.
Xander: We're doomed! Willow: Yeah! (They all laugh. Their laughter quickly becomes nervous and stops. Only the fountain can be heard as they each consider their plight.)

Faith is sitting in the corner on a hay-scattered floor in a wooden boxcar. There is a lost look on her face.
Riley is still sweating a little but no longer seems agitated. He's staring at the wall. He lifts his right hand and looks at Buffy's scarf still wrapped around his hand.
Buffy: Mmmm...Jonathan. (Riley pulls back. Buffy is almost smiling.)
Faith: No, *you* don't get it. (smiles daringly) I don't care. (She turns away to tend to her things. Buffy is speechless with disbelief.)
Cut to Ethan's. The place has been emptied. Giles comes in the front door. He sees a note propped up on another counter and picks it up. Note: Be seeing you...

Buffy: (sobbing, muffled) Please don't forgive me... (Tara strokes her hair gently as she continues crying.)
Buffy: There is only one thing on this earth more powerful than evil, and that's us. Any questions?
Buffy sits on her bed, knees drawn up to her chest, twirling a cross in her hands. There's garlic festooning the bedframe as well. Buffy hugs her knees, looking around nervously.
Giles: Buffy, the only way is to kill Dawn. (Buffy reacts with dismay.)
Cordelia: (unnerved) What? (Xander just keeps walking away, never looking back.) Cordelia: (insistently) What?!
(Cordelia rolls her eyes again as she and Buffy leave.) Michelle: (starts to weep) I promised myself I'm not gonna cry...
Buffy: I know that. It's not even a question of that. It's just, after... I need a little bit of a break. Please. (walks away) Angel: You still my girl? Buffy: Always. (leaves)
Kennedy: Are you all right? Willow: I have no idea. (they stand) I'm so tired. (Kennedy supports Willow and walks her into the house.) Kennedy: Yeah. I'll make you some tea.

Dawn: (crying) You're alive, and you're home. You're home. (Shot of Buffy's face over Dawn's shoulder. She doesn't look very happy.)
Buffy: Got something else for me to carry? Riley: Uh, you can help me pack this. Buffy: Sure. (goes over to Riley and kisses him. They both turn to the packing as Xander watches.)
Spike: Vampires! Grr! Nasty! Let's annihilate them. For justice, and for the safety of puppies, and Christmas, right? Let's fight that evil! Let's kill something! Oh, come on!
(Shot of Spike sitting up in the bed, horrified, while Harmony continues to sleep.) Spike: Oh, god, no. Please, no.
Travers: Well, that's the thing, you see. Glory isn't a demon. Buffy: What is she? Travers: She's a god. Buffy: (long pause, eyes widen) Oh.

Andrew: That's, uh, probably the way it should be. I guess I'm -- (he looks at the camera, sighs, points the remote control, presses a button, and turns it off.)
Willow: Buffy, you have to get up! We need you! (Buffy just sits, tears flowing, staring in front of her.) Willow: (offscreen) Buffy, please! Buffy...
Shot from outside. Buffy takes hold of the door and closes it. Dawn's face slowly breaks into a smile as the closing door hides them from our view.
Joyce: Right. Giles: Indeed. Joyce: Y-yes. (They both quickly pivot and head off in opposite directions.)
(Giles turns to go back to his library) Giles: The earth is doomed!
(They start to walk out, holding hands.) Dawn: You think she'd raise my allowance? Buffy: Don't push it.

The floppy disk falls between the desk and the small filing cabinet. It hits the floor and spins around a few times before coming to rest against the side of the cabinet.
Luke: (smiling widely) Amen. (He moves in to bite Buffy.)
Spike: Let's see what's on TV. (The camera pans up to the cage as they go. The last residue of Collin is still steaming.)
Cordelia: ...disappear off the face of the earth. That would be *so* cool! Or maybe... (The camera pulls in on Xander, Buffy, and Willow smiling and talking cheerfully.)
Spike sits down next to Buffy and tentatively pats her back, trying to comfort her. She lets him. Pull bac on the two of them, sitting together, side by side.
Buffy: Sure. We can work out after school. You know, if you're not too busy having sex with my MOTHER! (Giles walks into a tree.)
Angel: It's a big night. I didn't want to miss it. It's just tonight. It doesn't mean that I... Buffy: I know. I mean, I understand. Angel: Dance with me? (They dance.)
Buffy: They can never know. Never. (She still doesn't look at Spike, just continues walking into the sunlight.)
(Reveal Giles standing in the doorway, wearing a long black coat and no glasses.) Giles: I'd like to test that theory.
Buffy: It's only gonna get harder. Protet them, but lead them. (Faith walks back inside the house. Buffy walks down the front walk alone.)
(Xander struggles with the jar for a while, then tries to cover it with a laugh.) Xander: Uh, Will, gimme a hand with that?
Faith falls backward off the wall and lands in the bed of a moving truck. Buffy scrambles to the wall and sees Faith's body, unmoving, ride away.
Giles: It's all right, I understand. I'll take care of it -- (One of the robed men sneaks up behind Giles wielding a battle-axe. He swings it at Giles.)
Joyce: (from the hall) Buffy? Are you going to bed? Buffy: In a minute! (She turns back to Angel and smiles at him. They start kissing again as the camera pulls back.)
Dawn: Cape is good. Xander: Yeah. (He leaves. Dawn gathers herself together, never letting a tear drop. She breathes deeply, then goes back to work on the books at her desk.)
(Cut to a shot of the picture. It's Buffy standing over the Kindestod with her foot up on its chest. The monster's neck is split open and blood is gushing out.) Joyce: How...nice.

The camera pulls back on Faith alone in her bed, staring out the window for a moment, then back at the TV.
The door Walsh is standing in front of unlocks and she opens it and disappears inside. It closes again and we see a number stenciled into the door: 314.
