Stadium Locations
Some team names say they are from a particular city or state, but play their home games in an entirely different location. Usually a suburb, but different nonetheless.

the actual name of the angels is the los angeles angels of anaheim, so the location IS referenced in the name. this could be a bonus answer but it SHOULDNT be a real answer.

Foxboro, MA IS in New England; just not in Boston

Tampa Bay actually references the region, like the "Carolina" teams, so the Tampa Bay teams are not poorly named at all.

As tjconn728 said, the city is called Tampa. "Tampa Bay" refers to the region. Also, "nonetheless" is one word.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim has been removed (I didn't realize it had the specification as part of the name when I created this quiz.) There are several answers as bonus answers... such as the Tampa Bay teams who play in Tampa, but not the one who plays in St. Petersburg. New England is also a bonus answer as it technically is in New England, but isn't the city/state they play in. Foxboro Patriots or Massachusetts Patriots would have kept them entirely off the list. Carolina teams are not part of this as their name is actually part of the state name, even if it isn't the full state name, (Like Washington Wizards is acceptable even though they aren't called the Washington D.C. Wizards). @tjconn728 - This isn't about being poorly named teams, it's about teams that just aren't located where their names advertise them to be.

@lightning44: Yep, they play in the state of New York... and that's why they aren't on the list.

I appreciate your comment umterps2012, however, Landover is an unincorporated community. The exact location could be argued either way whether it's Landover or Hyattsville based on zip code, but the fact remains that neither 'city' is a part of the team name, so if you guess the team, you get the answer. The quiz isn't looking for city names, it's looking for team names.

St. Petersburg is in the Tampa Bay area, so the Rays shouldn't be on there.
