How about the Roman province of Gaul, you know the one Caesar conquered (de Bello Gallico). I realize you have things broken down rather specifically but Gaul I felt was considered a Roman province

Gaul was split into four provinces at this point in time. There was the old province of Gallia Narbonensis (formerly Transapline Gaul, which was conquered at the end of the second century BC) and the Gaul you are thinking of which is Gallia Comata or long-haired Gaul which Caesar conquered. At this time it was divided into three provinces.

Is Gallia Comata the same as Cisalpine Gaul at this point? I tried Cisalpine Gaul but gave up. Further, you just couldn't avoid dividing Gaul into three parts, could you? ;)

Good luck, this is waaaaay too technical and specific. Give laymen scholars a chance. No Gaul, Hispania or Britannia?????

I like the layout for the quiz, but I think you should add a map
