Why force us to go in order? Other than that, good quiz.

a "sound bite" is not an idiom, it's broadcasting or political jargon.

To bite the "big one" is another way to say someone died.

add "fingernails" as an alternative for "nails"? Nice quiz!

Action as a possible alternate for cherry. Lips seems like it could work for nails too. Nice collection though, I'm surprised there are this many.

Please...not in order. A few of these are similar. To bite your "tongue or lip" can fit for either answer. You should accept the full expression or more alternatives. I tried "It may come back..." and "It will come back..." and "It can come back..." Finally, just "Come back and bite you" worked. That's not really a complete idiom. I kept trying "A dog's bite..." instead of "His bite...". It was kind of frustrating and time consuming. More time please.

all right, i have changed it so it is not necessary to enter in order. Therefore, if you enter tongue, it will be accepted, as well as lip. Also, i have entered more alternates for "come back..." and a dogs bark, not just his bark. I am keeping the time the same.
