Terrible. Blue Jackets refer to people from the civil war, unless they were animals?

What are "Jays"? Because I see the Blue Jays.... Blue Jackets are not animals that I know of (Blue Jacket was an Indian chief in Ohio)

Mascots are the guys in the animal suits, right? Like the Oriole Bird, Slapshot the eagle for the Capitals, Edgar, Allen, and Poe for the Ravens. These appear to be teams named after Animals.

A thrashers is a bird. Wild has an animal depiction, as in wild ANIMAL. Pistons and Chargers are war horses. What type of non-animal PREDATORS do you know of? By definition, a predator is an animal that preys on another. Blue Jackets used to depict a bug on their shoulder patch (Stinger), but Bluejackets are civil war references.

A piston is a type of horse. The Detroit Pistons are named after this, not the piston in a car

@jaybrad77: Incorrect. The Detroit Pistons started out as the Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons. The Zollner Corporation manufactured pistons for automobiles and locomotives. Nothing to do with a horse.

Hmmm, I stand corrected. But, a piston still has something to with a horse
