Lots of holes: Rhode Island, Ulaan Baatar, and Port Louis are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head. Maybe things like United States (of America), the Gambia, and Guinea-Bissau should be bonus answers because they're not always interpreted as two words. Fun idea, though!

Obviously it's incomplete, thanks for helping fill in the holes. I'll make the necessary additions (Ulaan Baatar will also be bonus, since it's most often one word) and changes. I apologize for the omissions; please feel free to point out anything else that's missing.

The country is the United States of America... more than 2 words. That one doesn't seem to fit.

The 65% who didn't get USA are the smart ones - they know that USA is more than two words long.

If it's 'The' Gambia, then shouldn't it 'The' United States (of America) and 'The' United Kingdom? These should be bonus answers.

Too bad the games aren't all consistent. United States and United Kingdom are generally accepted, for example. Good game.

For the US, UK, and The Gambia, I used what was listed as the first answer on the "Countries of the World" quiz. I understand that there's a pretty substantial gray area here. The fairest thing to do is probably to make all three of them bonus answers.

The Gambia - Legitimate (name under UN, wiki, etc.) United States - shady grey (sporcle uses USA, right?) UK - Legitmate (sporcle usage) we call it the United Kingdom right? overall, GREAT quiz! enjoyed it

Anyone else think it's funny that 5 of the 8 US state capitals all form one column on the map? (Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana). I'd never noticed that before... fun quiz!

Great quiz. Don't mind all the detractors. The U.S. is certainly not an acceptable answer, so I'm glad that's not included. Good call there.

I really like the idea. I just wish, and that's really more of a general observation, that quizzes would not be all that US centric all the time. Why not split it up in two quizzes instead of making it that much harder for people not from the US?

the full name of Rhode Island is Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations. Nitpicky but I thought I'd throw it out there.

You should also include the Philippines, the Maldives, and the Bahamas (and others I'm probably forgetting) as bonus answers, to go with the Gambia. Great quiz!

Cote d'Ivoire is three words, but 'Ivory Coast' (the answer I used and that got accepted) isn't. :)

Good quiz - I'm embarrassed I missed some of the US State capitols. Why are several US states showing up at the bottom of the list as lowest percentage gotten correct? Is that because there are a lot of non-US folks taking the quiz?

It's not counting some answers in the final score. For example, you can get "Phnom Penh" right while taking the quiz, but your final score will say you missed it and not count it. Same with New Hampshire, Guatemala City, and some others.

Now, you'd probably have to add South Sudan!
