	A peninsula is just a piece of land that is surrounded mostly by water. There is no requirement for size or naming, so basically every state with coastline has multiple peninsulas.

	All of these states have peninsulas: Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania. And probably every single other state, since they all have at least one lake in them somewhere.

	California definitely has a peninsula with San Francisco located on the tip of it. They even call the land to the west of the San Francisco Bay "the Peninsula."

	Some of your panhandle states are a bit ... odd. Here's an easy way to determine if a state has a panhandle. Imagine the state is the size of a normal frying pan, and that pan is full of boiling grease. Is the part that sticks out long enough to safely pick up the pan? If not, that is not a panhandle. It's just a crooked spot on the state line.

	Here's another easy way to determine if a state has a panhandle: Google "[State] panhandle." I'm not normally in favor of using Google search results as a source to back up an argument, but from this you'll see that Alaska, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia have areas commonly referred to as panhandles, while Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Utah, and Virginia don't. Alabama and Maryland are questionable; most of the first few results for Alabama are for a company called "Alabama Panhandle Fluid Power LLC." @ClintT13: Your method would seem to conclude that Texas does not have a panhandle, for example, but the existence and common acceptance of the Texas Panhandle is pretty indisputable.

	any state on the water is going to have a peninsula...plus there is WAY too much time. you can type in all the states and the time wouldnt even be halfway done.
