| 5 Iyar should, as a rule, be Yom Ha'atzmaut (the day that Israel was established) and the day before is Yom HaZikaron. But on some years, depending on the day of the week, both are moved up or moved back to prevent conflict with Shabbat. So while Yom Ha'atzmaut is on 6 Iyar in 2011, next year it will be on 4 Iyar (Yom HaZikaron on 3 Iyar). Similarly, Yom HaShoah can be on 26, 27 or 28 Nisan. 17 Tamuz is Shiv'a (not Sh'va) asar B'Tamuz. Erev Pesach should be acceptable for 14 Nisan. |
