Red Hot Chili Peppers is the 3rd best rock band of all time? Are you kidding me?

Totally bizarre list. Why are the Squirrell Nut Zippers under swing when they're more rockabilly? It's weird to see Buddy Holly and the Cramps next to each other. And why are the Velvet Underground 'psychedelic'? Last.fm's tagging system totally sucks, there was a time when people tagged every artist as 'emo'.

Also, squirrel is misspelt.

Good quiz, and there's definitely enough material for a sequel.

I'd give you a 5 if you fixed the spelling of squirrel.

Surprised there's not a soul/motown genre. This is such a weird selection, so many brilliant artists and so many terrible ones.

This is probably my favourite last.fm quiz, although how the **** I can remember Reverend Horton Heat while forgetting The Who and Queen, idk.

If this ever gets published, expect comments to be dominated by the distinction between Metal and Nu-Metal.

I'm pretty appalled at some of the bands in some of the categories, but I think the biggest offender is The Killers under the indie category. I really don't know what is going through the mind of last.fm taggers 95% of the time.

I'm surprised that some of these bands are this popular. Never would have expected to see Asobi Seksu so popular in shoegazing or Brian Jonestown Massacre so popular in psych! Keep going and create a sequel. There is so much untapped potential in electronic and indie subgenres alone, not to mention everything else!
