| Very tough - I had no idea there were so many. @ButtercupSausage: the fact that they have customs/border officials there doesn't make it part of their territory. There are customs checks when you come out of the tunnel on the British side - when I went through one of the officials apologised for the inconvenience, saying that they'd prefer to do them on the French side but the French won't let them. The fact that the French can tell them what they can or can't do there strongly suggests that it isn't British territory, so I presume the reverse applies on the British side. If you really want to open a can of worms you could say that Cyprus is shared between three countries, although I realise that the country I'm in at the moment is the only one in the world which recognises the independence of North Cyprus. |
