I'd adjust your placement of Manchester a little. Good quiz otherwise.

@Chase: Thanks, I've adjusted Manchester a little and added some color to the map as well. BTW, if anyone has a scrolling problem, it can be fixed by pressing F11.

Nice, though using mostly capital cities makes it much easier than Unidentifiedkiwi's US cities one... It'd be interesting to see a harder one as well :-)

#2 still looks closer to Liverpool than Manchester, although I noticed that it accepted Liverpool! Nice quiz. Agree, a slightly harder one with more non-capital cities would be great.

Amsterdam is too north and Stockholm is too south.

Moscow is way too far north. It's really about the same latitude as Copenhagen.

Nice quiz, although I'd like to see some slightly more obscure cities on there.

Thanks! I was waiting for this quiz. I agree with the above; it would be nice to see a sequel with non-capital cities.

@WordWhiz: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And you're more flattering than you know, since I submitted a very similar quiz to Sporcle a little while back. Sorry to be the one to tell you that your quiz isn't as original as you thought, but of course you couldn't have known. The two quizzes are different enough though, there's overlap on less than half the answers and I feel mine is a bit harder.

That isn't Amsterdam, that's a city in the province of Friesland. That's comparing New York to Oklahoma.

Could have made it more interesting by adding more non-capitals.

I agree, more obscure. And Manchester is definitely too far west. I thought it was warrington

Amsterdam is completely in the wrong spot. Take a look at an atlas before making a quiz like this.

Way too easy, especially compared to the US one. But still not a bad one at all.

@jnhickson lol, i think its a bit northwest of warrington to be honest. I guessed St. Helens

The dots are rather inaccurate - the positioning of the Stockholm dot is awful. Not cool.

Good quiz. Currently 48% have got them all right. Why not reduce the time to 1 minute to make it a bit more challenging?

According to the map, Amsterdam is in Germany... Move the dot to the south (a lot!)...

That's not Germany. But Amsterdam is on the wrong side of the Ijsselmeer.

Nice quiz, but some cities are jarringly misplaced. To what others remarked, I'll add that Paris is too far east, Marseille is a little too far east, and the Rome spot is about halfway to Naples. I think Munich is a bit too far south, too.

It's not that hard Kid Muscle, just name major cities in the vicinity of the dots. There's not one city that isn't a capital or major city.

Very nice quiz. Maybe including some capitals of former Yugoslav states would spice it up a bit?

amsterdam is on the other side of the water...as stated moscow is farther south. the map itself is a little off in places. even with misplacement the quiz is fairly easy.

As a Mancunian (person from Manchester), I guessed Liverpool for number 2, probably because Liverpool is on the coast. Manchester is 40 miles inland. You need to move the dot so it doesn't border the sea.
