	Here in Seattle it seems like Paul Allen is at LEAST as well known as Bill Gates. He owns or funds just about everything in this town.

	@Mackadal- Google and Facebook were not founded that long ago- Facebook started in 2004 and Google in 1998. And in the grand scheme of things Apple, Microsoft and Oracle are not that old either. So to say that these stories "could never happen today" is a bit off base.

	While this is an interesting list, dropping out of college and making it big isn't near as impressive as a high school dropout doing it. Most of these are top notch colleges, so just getting in shows they were pretty bright to begin with. Rockefeller quit high school, but that was a long time ago.

	While he did drop out, Allen still does quite a bit for Wazzu, and this past year just gave $26 million for the Allen School for Global Animal Health connected with WSU's College of Veterinary Med. Go Cougs!
