Answers do not have to be guessed in order
Very little known fact: the first tournament to seed was actually 1978 rather than 1979 as is usually believed. It was a very bizarre form of seeding though (you can read about it at Wikipedia).

Hard to say the Santa Clara upset was so big now, considering they had a point guard named Steve Nash on the team lol.

@kraffcook: If you include Cleveland State and Tennessee-Chattanooga in your list of "all" the schools then color me impressed.

Cornell is also going to be a 12 seed in the elite eight, the way they are playing now

@lightning44: No, Florida was a 3 seed when they won the championship. It was in 06, when George Mason made the final four. Maybe you're thinking of LSU who was 4 seed that made it to the final four that year, but Florida was definitely a 3.

In 1979 Penn finished in fourth place after losing in the consolation game.
