I knocked it out in 3 seconds when my rectangles went all red on me. I must have, um, accidentally clicked the wrong one. Is there any way to re-take a challenge? :)

@WackyZacky: This is a great quiz and if you added "europe" as a tag I would love to make it a curator pick.

I like the format, but you could have made it more challenging by including Norway amongst the countries.

I second the Norway idea, and I'd also add Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City, and Liechtenstein.

It would be much harder if all European countries were included, instead of all those non-European ones.

@nthe I think it would be a little too easy without all European countries, since I don't think anyone would go for Djibouti but they might click Norway.

If you picked the USA, you clearly have no concept of gegraphy at all, and need to be locked up

Here is another quiz just like this, except it only includes the countries of Europe as choices: http://www.sporcle.com/games/SJ98/european-union-clickable Try it!

Good choice of non-EU countries to include! Algeria, once part of France when in the EC, Morocco, applied but rejected, Kyrgyzstan, because it must be so!

again and again i am surprised to find out that vatican city isn't an eu member: they have the euro after all!

sora_: you don't have to be a member of a country or economic area to use a currency. Take the US Dollar for instance, how many countries use that? In Europe, the euro is also used in Kosovo, Andorra, Vatican, San Marino and Monaco. I suppose it makes sense to do what the big boys are doing...

Also, just because they are in the EU doesn't mean they use the Euro. Sweden and Denmark both still have their own currency and are EU members.

well of course there are EU members that don't use the euro, lots of them. THEORETICALLY i also know that there are countries that are non-eu-members and still use the euro. just as vatican city even mints their own euro coins, you'd think they wouldn't let non-members do this... (monaco does, too, which is why i also confuse it as an EU member). i know, i know, it's just confusing.

It's tricky for Andorra, Vatican and San Marino. They use Euro currency but they're not in the EU. So is Monaco
