Several of these answers weren't countries in 1950. Bangladesh, Algeria, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Sudan were, as far as I can tell, not independent countries until after 1950. Also, Czechoslovakia is misspelled.

Shouldn't Germany be distinguished further by East or West?

Agreed with CruelFox. Back then, Myanmar was still called Burma. Only one I missed because of that...

Shouldn't Algeria be counted as France in 1950? Tanzania as UK and Nigeria and Sudan also as UK? Bangladesh was part of Pakistan in 1950 and should be counted as such. There are plenty of then as now independent countries to fill in the 50 places...

If a country wasn't independant, it shouldn't be on here. And Zaire didn't exist yet, so how would it be former?

If Vietnam isn't going to be included by itself it should be included within France, which it isn't

It doesn't make sense to accept a current country name sometimes (Myanmar, Germany) and an older one other times (USSR, Czechoslovakia). It should also be made clear whether you want to include colonies as countries. As pointed out by Zephos, Zaire is an archaic but post-1950 name (this is also true for United Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar).

If it's "the most populated countries in 1950," the answers should exclusively be, you know, COUNTRIES IN 1950. Otherwise it's stupid easy. Rating: 1. Would rate it 0 if I could.
