| The 30 current franchises' totals include seasons they played under a different name (if applicable). For example, Anaheim's numbers include the seasons when they were known as the Mighty Ducks. Similarly, totals for franchises that moved include seasons before relocation, so Phoenix's totals include the seasons when they played in Winnipeg (and so forth). The quiz won't accept "Winnipeg Jets" as a correct answer, but their totals are included here. As for the defunct franchises, well that's another issue. Oddly enough, most of them relocated at some point. In every case, however, the franchise only qualified for the playoffs in one of their incarnations, so this is the team name I've chosen to display. But since these are some of the more obscure answers in the quiz, I've decided to accept any other incarnations of the team as correct responses (if you've got the correct location, of course). What this means in practice is that you won't see the Cleveland Barons appear in this quiz since they didn't make the playoffs in either of their two seasons. However, as the franchise did qualify for post-season play before it moved to Cleveland, I will accept the Barons as a correct answer. (Again, this only works if you've chosen the correct location, of course.)
