	I knew a guy who lived in Chicago (CST) but worked in Battle Creek (EST). Every Monday he'd move forward an hour on his commute to Michigan, and pick it up again when he returned home on Friday. I figured that the guy just wanted to spend as little of his life as he could on Mondays.

	It's just amazing how I always forget about the existence of St. Louis. And I have a friend that lives there! But inevitably, in a geography quiz where St. Louis is one of the answers, I totally blank on it. Even trying to think of cities with sports teams doesn't help. Also, I knew that a bunch of the cities I was missing were going to be in Texas, and managed to come up with a bunch of possibilities, but still missed almost 10 obvious places.

	@kittens, El Paso is on Moutain Time. i wasn't sure where that cutoff was which is why I didn't think to guess Lubbock. @tunnel, if Des Moines was the first place you though of, then you really need to get out and see some more of this country. also @MikeSang, I personally think you should have gone with "too Texas centric"

	@BamaGuy: Thanks a lot. I live in Des Moines. It was the first place I thought of as well. :P @nightfloat: The population estimate in 2008 (per the Census) has the Des Moines area roughly half a million people. The issue is that we have a sh*t ton of suburbs that are not incorporated. So, Des Moines proper is just under 200k. Pain in the rear when we get overlooked for major shopping venues like IKEA and Whole Foods.

	There's a Kansas City, KS and a Kansas City, MO right across the state line from each other, both part of the same metropolitan area. They are incorporated as separate cities because they're in different states. Kansas City, MO has about 4 times the number of people as Kansas City, KS.

	A lot of this is skewed due to metro areas not being identical to cities. Five of these are, to the rest of the free world, Dallas. St. Louis is smaller than it seems because the city itself is a small part of a sprawling 2-state, multi-county metro area.
