No respect for Fall City? :(

Perhaps I should specify that this is for the main games only. Fall City doesn't have a population listed on Bulbapedia anyway.

I guessed Fall City as well. I hand-counted after this quiz and saw 50 unique people- can that at least make Fall City, Fiore a bonus?

Sure, why not? Bonus added.

Thanks to this quiz, I started thinking of all the Pokemon cities, and now I've got that "Viridian City" song that used to play at the end of some Pokemon episodes stuck in my head. Good quiz overall.

This is such a creative idea for a quiz! I'm glad my lack of Johto knowledge didn't hinder me any.

Pokemon cities and their rough real life equivalents: Goldenrod City = Osaka; Lilycove City = Oita; Jubilife City = Sapporo; Saffron City = Tokyo; Hearthome City = Obihiro; Veilstone City = Kitami; Rustboro City = Nagasaki; Slateport City = Miyazaki; Oreburgh City = Chitose; Celadon City = Yokohama; and of course, Mt. Moon = Mt. Fuji

rlnintendo is right on about the idea behind this quiz: to combine one of my favorite game series and my favorite Sporcle category. I'm surprised but happy this got published!

This quiz is a brilliant idea, however I think it could be made accessible to a larger population by dividing it up into the different regions and having 4 cities from each or something, as most people will likely only know Kanto (I imagine). The overall rank could still be given in the extra column (along with population, of course).

Excellent Quiz. Brings back great memories. I'm curious; how do you know the population of each city? Do you count all the people in the game?

Great quiz idea, but I don't recognize the legitimacy of anything after Kanto. In my mind, my 2 correct answers is 100% for the quiz.

Um...The_Goat...your Hoenn ones are wrong. Rustboro is Fukuoka, Slateport is Nagasaki and Lilycove is Kagoshima.

@jaredr5, I'm guessing so. I didn't count them myself, but I trust Bulbapedia as an accurate source of Poke-info.

The_Goat's Kanto info is wrong too; Saffron and Celadon are both parts of Tokyo, corresponding to Marunouchi (in Chiyoda-ku) and Shinjuku-ku, respectively. Vermilion is Yokohama. Mt Moon is based on a mountain in Gunma (Mt Silver is Mt Fuji). Veilstone is Abashiri (Celestic is Kitami) and Oreburgh is Yubari. Is there any full list of populations, or do we/I have to make a list on my own by checking every city on bulbapedia?

Haha, I could only name 2 - Saffron and Goldenrod. I could picture Celadon city in my head, but the name escaped me! Lilycove was also right on the tip of my tongue. Great idea for those hardcore pokemon fans who still keep up with the new stuff!
