I tried to fit in # of counties here somewhere but its packed with info as it is. You guys can probably infer/research which have a lot or a few if you're interested; ex: Delaware has only 3 counties and Cali has 58.

Nice quiz. Had to think of something new: ratio of population to # of counties. A state like Delaware with 3 counties only has to have half a million population to qualify for this quiz. Texas, on the other hand, with 25 million people doesnt qualify because it's got 254 counties to divide by.

Interesting quiz, especially to see California above all those small East Coast states.

why do I always forget about Hawaii? Knew Cali would be there with their high population and relatively very few counties.

Nice quiz! I like the idea. Two things, though. First, a source would be great. Second, note that this is the MEAN county population, as opposed to the median - any statistician will tell you that makes a significant difference.

This quiz is fascinating. It tells me one important thing: Arizona needs to split some of its counties. That way, with the exception of Nevada, the list will be entirely coastal states (and Pennsylvania, but that's close enough).
