I think this would be better if the state boundaries were drawn. Right now, it's easy to tell a lot of the cities bordering the oceans or Canada/Mexico, but some of the ones in the middle are hard to determine what state they're in.

The east portion of the map is cut-off in my view. The line runs right through the dots for #18 and #19. Can't see anything further east. I also agree that the state lines would help for middle America.

#19 should probably also accept Norfolk and Newport News, since they're large cities in the same area but indistinguishable by the scale of the map. I like these quizzes, too!

Good quiz. I think the map is too big for the format of the web page. In my browser it overlaps and goes in front of the "popular quizzes" table but it seems that in tennesseeato's browser the map is getting covered. (State lines would make it too easy in my opinion.)

@ef: It now accepts those answers. When you put Cheyenne on a quiz you can't be picky about city size. @pottedstu: Ok, I see. Resizing the image is not easy, but I'd consider making it smaller.

And for the 1,000th time, I fail to remember the existence of Utah.

i like it. much more difficult than the last one in my opinion with some more obscure cities. unfortunately i got caught up on a couple of them or i would have got Miami and Mobile at the end.

I thought this was going to be ridiculously easy...then I got to the midwestern cities. But wouldn't change a thing. In particular, don't add state borders. That eliminates the challenge. BTW, anybody else try Detroit for number 14 or Biloxi for number 25? In both cases, the correct answers are off by only about 60 miles.

@tennesseeato: I have that problem on my computer at work (not that I Sporcle at work, mind you... *cough*). Try increasing your screen resolution. If that doesn't work (if you're at as high as it'll go), then you can copy and paste the image onto something else (MS Word for example) so you can at least refer to it for the clues on the right hand side.
