| I apologize ahead of time for this giant block of text. @JoeFish: It's the major city in the area indicted by the dot, though in the grand scheme of things it might not be "major." @kypzethdurron: I avoided choosing extremely famous cities like NY and LA, since as you said yourself, the quiz is already on the easier side for Americans. I tried to include some cities that are "2nd-tier" in terms of famousness, like Tampa, Boston, or Houston. @thedpr: Don't worry, answering in order is an integral part of this quiz that I would never change. The time, on the other hand, seems to be getting mixed reviews, so I'll refrain from changing it for now until the response is overwhelmingly that I should change it. @jonny: It's perfectly acceptable to guess Seattle, they're fairly close (especially for you non-Americans) and if you don't guess you don't learn! @Troublemaker: If I only included cities that everyone would easily get, this wouldn't be much of a quiz, now, would it? The cities that you mentioned are the "hard" answers. And Minneapolis and St Paul of of similar size and similar importance in the region, they're not called the "Twin Cities" for nothing. Tampa is clearly the largest and most important city covered by that dot. See the example in the game note. @rsdwv5: Thanks a lot! The response to this quiz has been excellent, so you can expect more in this style. |
