	actually baltimore metro area is just shy of bostons metro at 2.7 mill according to wiki...if we are talking city pop then boston shouldnt appear either according to wiki...it only has 600k

	Yeah, except Baltimore's population is enough that it should qualify for the list. The source the quizmaker used has Washington D.C. 37th, and it says "including Baltimore." That's a joke. The two cities are an hour apart and have their own distinct metropolitan areas. Baltimore's metro population is 2.7 million (and these figures have to be including metro population or else Boston wouldn't make the list either). Baltimore should be on the list between Bandung and Birmingham. Combining the metro areas of those two distinct cities is a joke (it happens a lot), as I can assure you that virtually everyone who lives here considers them two separate entities.

	For bonus answers, Buffalo is ranked below Belgrade yet the population listed is greater. What's up with that?

	@Yojimbo28: Living in DC my whole life, I get used to living in the Baltimore-DC Metro area. While we are not a metropolis together, some of the suburbs such as Laurel, Oak Ridge and Glen Burnie are often what they mean when they say the say metro area. Regardless, travel time between the cities is not usually more than 35 minutes, so save your rant on the quizmaker, who I did not spend their time making this just for you to stomp all over their quiz.

	@Yojimbo, for what it's worth, the source uses the widest definitions of US metro areas out there, under which nearby areas are sometimes combined. At least Sporcle was nice enough to put it as a bonus. As for Buffalo I probably just entered it wrong, nothing we can do about it now. Thanks for playing, everyone!

	@Unidentifiedkiwi: Baltimore wasn't even a bonus answer when I took the quiz an hour ago, so thanks for calling that to my attention. And contrary to what the comment directly above yours says, I was not stomping all over your quiz or ranting on you. I was just criticizing the way your source website combines cities (and there's plenty of other examples there besides Baltimore/Washington) that probably deserve to stand on their own.

	@Unidentifiedkiwi, I have great difficulty establishing what is, and what is not, a metropolitan area going from one sporcle puzzle to another. Several source have different definitions of the term. I think one defined source should be used for all these puzzles to avoid confusion.
