	There's way too much time at the moment, I got all but two of them, and had over 4 minutes left when i gave up, even with lots of wasted time staring at the screen trying to think.

	This quiz has little to nothing to do with the "old south," it requires more thinking than that. The criteria for being "southern" in this case is right at the top of the page, that is, being south of a certain line of longitude.

	@cocky: It's not arbitrary. That particular latitude was established by the Missouri Compromise in 1820 as the line dividing territories open to slavery (Southern territories) and those not open to slavery (Northern territories). For that reason, I think it's a pretty fair divider between North and South as far as this quiz is concerned.

	I am so tired of US city quizzes using arbitrary city boundary data instead of metro area. In the real world, Jacksonville is not bigger than Miami! Why are Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington considered separate?

	@dmendz you're totally right. This line of latitude is anything but arbitrary. It's one of the most important boundaries in the US. The only thing I would say critical of this quiz would be to agree with ceiiinosssttuu and say that metro areas should be used instead. If anything is arbitrary these days, it's city limits...a city is really conceptualized by its metro area, not boundary lines on a map.

	Wow... Honolulu as a southern city? I get what you're going for, but common convention refers to Hawaii in its own category. States like Arizona, New Mexico, and sometimes Nevada and California fall into the category of the southwest. It may not make any sense, but common convention refers to Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Arkansas, and Louisiana as EXCLUSIVELY "the south." There is debate about others like Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia, etc. which is up to the judgment of the quiz-maker I suppose. But to have so many cities included as answers in this quiz when they're not even located in what common convention refers to as "the south" really takes away from the potential tremendous fun that this quiz has.

	If I could make a suggestion, I think this quiz would be a lot more fun if you listed the largest cities according to the US Census's definition of "the South." That list includes: Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. (The Census then breaks those states down into subregions: South Atlantic, East South Central, and West South Central.) Just a constructive thought..

	Only 1/5 are true Southeastern cities (excluding Florida). Southern California and Texas each have the same amount, Arizona has 3.

	@ceiiinosssttuu Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington may be close together but they're definitely different cities and I don't see any reason for them to be lumped together. The boundary for the south is indicated in the title of the quiz, so if that messes with your worldview then don't take it. I thought it was a great quiz and I liked thinking of "the south" in a different way.

	All you have to do is read the rules. Calling it "Southern Cities" may indeed put an image in your head of the Southeast, but the quiz maker did spell out the latitude used in making this quiz. Good job!
