Sadly, Tony Conigliaro would be hit in the face by a pitch when he was 22 and play only twenty games after 26.

I kept trying Ralph Kiner, as he's the player I associate with hitting a ton of homers early in his career, but looks like he started a few seasons too late to keep up with these guys.

I believe Tony C was fastest to 100 at one point.

This quiz is ambiguously worded. Most home runs "at each age" I took to mean as most home runs only while the batter was of that age. I'd change the wording to most home runs *BY* each age.

Tony C's life after baseball was as heart-breaking as his career. Died at age 45 after 8 years in a coma.

Albert Pujols is older than he claims to be. I think he's at least 33.

Mike Stanton only needs to hit 43 homers next season to appear on the age 22 list.

I was very surprised that Andruw Jones didn't make some of these lists considering that he came into the bigs at 19 and did great from the get go. And he wasn't as close as I thought. He missed making the 20-22 lists by 15, 10, and 18 respectively. Goes to show how truly great those other guys were and how young they started out (Mel Ott debuted a month after his 17th birthday).

This should be updated to include A-Rod for ages 36 & 37. He would be ranked #1 at 36, #2 at 37.

102/105, only player I missed was Conigliaro. Great quiz
| applatt: | Oct 13th, 2012 at 02:35 GMT | | 2 points |
13.1% get Tony Conigliaro correct... but only 4.3% have gotten 100% on the quiz to this point. So, 8.8% of the people that get Conigliaro correct actually miss someone else even though everyone else on the list is in the 500 HR club (and theoretically should be easy enough if you've heard of Conigliaro). I just find that to be interesting...
