You should also include the UK because Montserrat is a British territory and they have an active volcano.

Nice quiz! It'd be interesting if you could give any extra info in the third column - eg name of largest volcano, most recent eruption or something (not as a hint in advance, but the kind that pops up when you get the answer).

Cool quiz, like Danman4pres, i'd like to see 'dem rep congo' accepted, but cool anyway.

I think I learned in one of my science classes something about volcanoes being always active; they're never 'asleep.'

It's a great quiz and I agree with Pit_trout about the additional info. The source is incomplete though. The island Jan Mayen for example is part of Norway and an active volcano (last activity according to Wikipedia in 1985). Some of the Canary Islands, most notably La Palma (1971), are also still active, meaning Spain should be on the list.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll add the countries suggested. The source doesn't give much detail, but I'll try to think of something else to add. It definitely needs some additional info, I agree.

Added additional info in the form of last eruption. If anyone catches an error, feel free to let me know. I also added Canada as it had an eruption in 1904.

Great quiz! Tanzania should be added; Ol Doinyo Lengai is still very much an active volcano.

Love it. Bit of advice friendly: change your column widths so that your country column is much narrower and the hint column is much wider.

Nice quiz! There seem to be a few missing, especially depending on the definition of 'active' volcano... Portugal has some active volcanoes in the Azores. Maybe a bonus answer for Antarctica? Not a country, but it has activity that's above the ocean that's not in any other country.

Reunion is not one of the "French territories." It's part of France in the same way Hawaii is part of the United States or Northern Ireland is part of UK.

@Mccourtney: it's a territory, not a part of the UK, so no the UK shouldn't be on the list.

I think that territories should be on the list, but you should specify that you are including territories in your header.

If you want to include territories, definitely make Antarctica a bonus answer; Mount Erebus has been erupting since 1970, and provided a great deal of data to volcanic research. Other than that, excellent quiz.

Yes, you really should add Antarctica as a bonus answer. I was disappointed that it wasn't there. Sure it's not a country, but it has active volcanoes!

Antarctica should at least be a bonus answer. Mount Erebus is one of the most active volcanoes on the planet.

This ranking is missing many candidates. The Kunlun Volcanic Group in China erupted in 1951. Harras of Dhamar in Yemen last erupted in 1937. Jabal Yar in Saudi Arabia last erupted in 1810. The Barrier in Kenya last erupted in 1921. Ardoukôba in Djibouti last erupted in 1978. Dubbi in Eritrea last erupted in 1861. Planchón-Peteroa in Argentina (shared with Chile) last erupted in 1998.
