Good quiz, but Bobby Thompson only played a few games in the 70's. I think you meant Bobby "The Shot Heard Round the World" THOMSON.

Good catch, I'll update it. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of Thompsons with unique names...

This played like one of those instant recall word games for me, and apparently my recall is ridiculous. Serously, Larry BOA???

My first guesses for some of these were clearly wrong...Bucky Dent, Ben Sheets, Pedro Feliciano....

The notable player names threw me off on a lot of them as odd surnames were always the first thing to come to mind.

How did more than 70% miss Cool Papa? Not only is he the only Cool Papa in baseball history, but his name could be guessed just for being common. And yes, I also thought Damian Jackson. But I guessed Damian's last name later on for Eddie (I also guessed Murray)

While "Cool Papa" is a very helpful clue, he never played in the Major Leagues. I'd suggest replacing him with Buddy.

Um...Francisco a notable player for that name? Really? I would have thought the one who was the youngest player EVER to 500 home runs, and is still playing would be more notable.

Fred Clarke spelled his name with an "e" on the end of it - maybe use Will or Jack instead

You're actually missing a couple from the list from what shows up on your source. Kelly and Adams are conspicuously missing.

Cool Papa Bell is in the Hall of Fame. Negro League players were as good, as worthy of recognition, and are considered for all intents and purposes to have been "Major Leaguers" if only, unfortunately, in retrospect.

@shapes: No I believe Hack Wilson is what the author intended. Hack was a fantastic player in the 1920s and still holds a major league record with just under 200 RBIs in one season.
