I am sorry for the confusion, these bridges are only suspension bridges.

Quiz should specify that this is
length of main span
. The Mackinac Bridge's total length is 26,371 ft (8,038 m). This is far in excess of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge (7,350 ft (2,240 m)), the Golden Gate Bridge (8,980 ft (2,737 m) and all other bridges in this quiz.

@MMayes: The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway is not a suspension bridge.

There seem to be a number of changes which have been made since the quiz was first published. First, it is now clearly defined as suspension bridges. However, I think that it should be made clearer that the basis of this quiz is the length of the main span. With that clarification added to both the instructions and the table, it will be a good quiz. Otherwise, you have arguments like BoomRshine's that would require the inclusion of longer bridges with a shorter suspension span such as the Chesapeake Bay bridge and possibly the Throgs Neck Bridge.

I just made that clarification. (Main Span) I am deeply sorry if this quiz caused you any frustration.
