Obviously this quiz is solely about military deaths although it doesn't actually say that. Although it gave me French Indochina for Vietnam I actually don't think it should.

it should give korea for north or south korea, and czecholslovakia for czech republic or slovakia imo

These numbers might seem slightly unorthodox because they include civilian deaths from war-related disease and famine. I like this Wikipedia article, and frankly I've never seen one with so many footnotes and verified sources.

Shouldn't this be a "enter answers in order" quiz? As is, this quiz is basically 'Name the countries involved in WW2', rather than involving thought as to the corresponding number to country.

I feel really bad for not knowing China was even involved in WW2 - I never got told about them helping in school at all, and yet they lost more lives than the USA, UK and France put together - how depressing...

curses: watch the "Last Emperor." That should get you on a good start to learning about China's role.

Korea was not yet split in two during WWII, nor was Yugoslavia or Czechoslovakia, so the names of the countries are accurate. Vietnam was still part of French Indochina at the time, with Laos and Cambodia, so this is accurate as well. (Can you tell I'm a history geek? :P)

Naylor - There were a lot more countries involved in the war, for example Australia and New Zealand, who lost a considerable amount of people, just thankfully not enough to make the list.
