| @TreehuggnCowgirl: That's because those species are confined to the tropical parts of South Africa: KwaZulu Natal and Mpumalanga. There is so much bush and wildlife there, it IS a wildlife mecca! But the rest of the country is Cape, which is not suitable for elephants and rhinos and the like, but is fine for leopards. It's only because of habitat! South Africa has preserved its wildlife very well, especially in the last 20 years. I wish India could be more like that... here we have a real poaching problem. |
