| @J to the eph - yeah, one person can't affect the list ALL that much, but it is weighted toward people who have ranked more and have more movies seen, which balances it out a little bit. It does tend very fanboy, which is a discussion that diehard Flickcharters have had many times. It also tends to be a "favorite" film list rather than a "best" film list, which also tends toward more fanboy favorites instead of critical classics. It's kind of fun to see, though, a list that turns up different things than most lists generated by critics. It captures the zeitgeist of current cinemagoers better than a lot of other lists, I think, but that means it changes often.
@Travis, I don't think the issue is clicking vs. typing as much as it is being able to guess without fear of being wrong and losing and having start all over. |
