I'd like to see states given as a clue, like we usually see in "largest US cities in the year xxxx" quizzes.

I had no idea that Albany is under 100,000. I guess it's true that you really do learn something new every day!

Atlanta is much lower than I thought... I guess this quiz doesn't take into account Walkers

Atlanta proper is tiny, but the metro area is pretty big

And thank you Albany metropolitan area. I spent over a minute coming up with misspellings for Albany because you convinced me it must have over 100k people.

It wasn't that long ago that Austin was just a mid-sized college town.

Arlington, VA is not a city, rather a county (remember VA treats cities as separate entities, such as Alexandria).

This needs bonuses, so that I can find out how wrong I am with regards to Albany, NY; Annapolis, MD; and Augusta, ME. As a non-USA-ian I only know the capitals really!

Arlington, VA is still considered a census-designated place, so that still works.

Albuquerque has a higher population than Atlanta? I'm not so sure about that. I wonder how that was calculated...

Sobefobik, this is by city population, not by metro population. Albuquerque does have a bigger city population than Atlanta, but a smaller metropolitan area population.

I have friends in both cities and can attest to the fact that Atlanta is far bigger than Albuquerque, but it has more sprawl and most of the population lives in subrubs and bedroom communities.

"I have friends in both cities and can attest to the fact that Atlanta is far bigger than Albuquerque" Good thing you have friends, otherwise we'd have to rely on actual census data! :P
