I believe de European Hedgehog is also to be found in Slovakia (the notheasternmost part of the country. It's also strange that it's not present in Liechtenstein, Andorra or San Marino. All of those countries are surrounded by other in which it is present and none of them differs significantly from nearby areas over the border and Italy, Austria, France and Spain are countries where the only places possibly not having hedgehogs are some of the islands further from the mainland. |
