Some pairing are questionable and in others you've abridged the names too far. use "Samwise" instead of "Sam", "The Brain" instead of "Brain", "Artful Dodger" instead of "Dodger". If you give Captain Kirk his rank, the Mister Spock deserves his too.

I was definitely looking for Harley Quinn for the Joker. Surprise 1989 Batman!

A good idea for a quiz but it's a bit awkward with the mix of first names, nicknames, titles, and random use of "the" (although not all of them have full names so it's not easy to make it consistent).

I put thought of the film for kronk, and decided to click 'the emperor'...

Funny how adding a usually left-off portion of someone's name will make them unrecognizable at first. Went right past Dr. John Watson and Patrick Star until I realized -Hey, that's Dr. Watson and Patrick!

Good variety. Although, it did confuse me at first because you're asking us to do the exact opposite of your question. You want us to pick the accompanying hero or brains of the outfit for the listed sidekick/henchman/subordinate -not the other way around. Other than that initial confusion, great.

Like how you had two Star Wars ones.

Emperor Palpatine backed up by Oompa Loompas. I'd pay to see that.

I saw "Flying Monkeys" and instantly clicked Montgomery Burns. Is that wrong?
| Tolkienite: | Apr 21st, 2013 at 09:19 GMT | | 3 points |
@Triltaison, I could be wrong because I made this so long ago but I'm pretty sure originally I had it the other way around to the way it is now, with players picking the henchmen, I think for whatever reason it was changed around when it was published

@likk9922: Personally, I reckon Darth Vader and Winnie the Pooh could take them on any day

So many of my favourite pieces of pop culture were referenced here: Wallace and Gromit, the Simpsons, Grease, Willy Wonka *and* The Wizard of Oz. 5 sporcles

Rocksteady and Beebop for the sequel!

I don't think Tigger was either a "sidekick" or a "subordinate" to Winnie-the-Pooh. He's an independent character---Piglet would have been a better option there. Sort of how Fred Weasley wouldn't count as a Harry Potter sidekick, but Ron Weasley (how did he get left off?) would.

I've reworded the question—thanks for that observation. And for anyone curious, no, Sporcle admins did not reverse this quiz prior to publishing.

My dad still remembers Ursula's eels all these years later - in fact I think they're the only part of the movie he remembers - because he thought their names were so clever. Similar story with Bebop and Rocksteady from TMNT.

@Anti_Sprial If there's some way to give bonus points in a clickable quiz, that would be the perfect opportunity for it.

Was anyone else thrown off a bit at first by the last names being in alphabetical order? I couldn't find Robin Hood for the longest time, not thinking of his name as starting with an 'H'.
